BATHTUB/SHOWER CLEANERS:
Bathtubs and bathtub materials are not made to resist abrasion. They are design to give you a beautiful, easy to clean, sanitary surface for bathing. Therefore, do not use scouring pads or abrasive cleaners as they will dull the surface. After each use, you need only to rinse the tub with plain water and a soft sponge or wash cloth.
In the occasion that a tub needs to be cleaned with other than a water rinse, a mild all purpose liquid cleaner and a plastic scrub/sponge pad, or a dobie pad will do. There is no need to use expensive bathroom cleaners.
We recommend liquid Spic & Span, Ivory Liquid, or Scrub Free. You might also try a dishwashing liquid, since it does not leave film or spots. Always rinse thoroughly after cleaning.
DO NOT USE: TILEX, SOFT SCRUB, MR. CLEAN, DISINFECTANT CLEANERS, ACETONE, LESTOIL, TOUGH ACT, AMMONIA, FINGER NAIL POLISH REMOVER, ANY AEROSOL CLEANERS OR HYPOCHLORITE (KNOWN AS RAW BLEACH).
*Always test any product not recommended on a small area of the corner of the skirt, before applying to the complete bath area. Review any cleanser’s specific instructions and restrictions.
DRAIN CLEANERS:
Chemical drain cleaners are strongly corrosive alkalies or concentrated acids. Chemicals strong enough to dissolve grease, hair, paper and other debris can also damage your eyes, lungs, and skin. Even a small amount of drain chemical can result in injuries. To say that you should use these products with extreme caution is an understatement. It is preferred that you do not use chemical drain openers at all.
We would suggest that you use mechanical methods. The best wayt to clean a drain is to push or pull on the clog. You can buy a plunger at any hardware store if you do not already own one. A plumber’s snake or a drain auger is also available at your local hardware stores. None of these tools require any special skills. If these devices do not solve your problem, call your local plumber.
